Project Sourcing: SiteStuff Delivers a Turn-Key Solution to Jones Lang LaSalle
SiteStuff and Jones Lang LaSalle partner to upgrade office building systems

Jones Lang LaSalle, an industry leader in property and corporate facility management services, utilizes SiteStuff, Inc. (“SiteStuff”) for the procurement of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) products and services for its portfolio. SiteStuff has historically delivered value by aggregating the demand of its client base to reduce prices with manufacturers and distributors. After realizing savings for MRO goods, Jones Lang LaSalle turned to SiteStuff to deliver similar results for its large capital projects.

A Modern Direction

Working with national and large regional contractors, the SiteStuff Project Sourcing Team has developed a platform to create Request for Proposals (RFP) for large capital projects using industry best practices more efficiently, reducing cycle times and providing a powerful new resource for properties.

When Centre Pointe in Walnut Creek, California wanted to replace several HVAC package units and furnaces, they turned to the Project Sourcing Team at SiteStuff. “I was confident that SiteStuff could improve the process,” says Abby Donahoe, Vice President and Director of Operations for Northern California. “We had the project specified by an outside engineer and then SiteStuff integrated their expertise with our work scope to formulate an RFP.”

“Despite the complicated project, SiteStuff was able to deliver three bids in a very short timeframe. Another significant benefit was how SiteStuff coordinated multiple manufacturers in the process,” said Donahoe.

How it Works

SiteStuff evaluated the property’s completed project sourcing questionnaire, as well as the preliminary engineering work, in order to develop a draft RFP. The draft RFP was submitted to the property for review and approval. Revisions were then incorporated into a final RFP that was sent to approved contractors.

SiteStuff coordinated contractor on-site visits, following which the contractors submitted their proposals to the SiteStuff team. The SiteStuff team then reviewed each document for thoroughness and completeness and prepared an Executive Summary Report that allowed the property to clearly communicate results to gain owner approval.

The Results

  • Reduced RFP process cycle time by 25%
  • Coordinated multiple manufacturers to ensure a flawless schedule
  • Provided more options by including additional contractors

Conclusion

"Project Sourcing made a typically arduous and time-consuming project, a pleasant and efficient process. Having all information come back in a detailed, comprehensive report was fabulous. I recommend this service to everyone,” said Donahoe.
