SiteStuff Selects FedEx to Seamlessly Connect Its Customers, Suppliers and Distributors
09/17/2001

AUSTIN, Texas -- SiteStuff, Inc., the leading electronic marketplace for the commercial real estate industry, has selected FedEx Corporate Services Inc., a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), to integrate the FedEx Ship Manager™ API (Application Programming Interface) into the SiteStuff Web-based procurement solution. SiteStuff customers can now easily order, check package status information and receive FedEx Express and FedEx Ground delivery on an extensive array of products and services. FedEx is the premier global provider of transportation, electronic-commerce and supply-chain management services.

"To succeed in today's global market economy, express transportation and information technology must go hand in hand. What we strive for is Web self-service," said Kathi Sheeley, manager of order management and logistics for SiteStuff. "FedEx is helping us to do just that, presenting an extremely attractive way to provide better services to our customers."

"FedEx has a history of leadership and innovation in developing electronic solutions that help businesses manage their order and fulfillment processes for greater productivity across the supply chain." said Tom Schmitt, senior vice president of FedEx Solutions. "Through the FedEx Ship Manager API, SiteStuff is providing the value-added and information-intensive service necessary to maintain a high level of customer service for both its suppliers and customers."

The FedEx Web-based transportation and technology network benefits e-marketplace suppliers and distributors by automating the shipping, data-collection and communication processes necessary to manage a SiteStuff purchase order. It connects distribution origin points to multiple recipients while providing a system to track package status.

Sheeley added: "The FedEx technology helps customers accelerate and automate the order-fulfillment portion of their supply chains and provides an excellent solution to managing the most complex distribution and logistics challenges."

SiteStuff also selected FedEx Ground transportation services for day-definite delivery of all small-package shipments. This arrangement provides more cost control as well as performance management of the SiteStuff distribution network.
