Job Description
As the Account Executive (AE), this individual is directly accountable for increasing SiteStuff revenue within his/her designated market. Reporting to the Strategic Account Manager, this individual is responsible for increasing overall MRO spend, “products required to maintain, repair and operate commercial real estate properties” and usage of the Bid Management tool through direct interaction with end users and distributors in the appropriate market. Included in these responsibilities is a comprehensive understanding of the SiteStuff offering and knowledge of the commercial real estate industry, as well as the ability to translate the SiteStuff value proposition to the customer base, identify opportunities for revenue growth and monitor performance to goal.
Vision
This role is accountable to act as the SiteStuff field presence, developing customer relationships and increasing revenue by tapping into all categories of MRO spend, obtaining full procurement potential from customers, increasing usage of the Bid Management solution and establishing SiteStuff as a robust procurement tool in the marketplace. By locating sales-trained individuals in the primary markets, stronger ties will be created with the customer base, creating an opportunity for significant revenue growth. Localizing this segment of the sales team builds community ties, credibility in the marketplace and name recognition. Further, linking compensation to incremental revenue growth creates an incentive for success.
Job Responsibilities
Develop strategy for market
- Identify customer and distributor contacts within appropriate market.
- Submit detailed Quarterly Plan in advance of calendar quarter, to include:
- Overview of market strategy
- Market breakdown by property type, square footage and number of properties
- Quantification of the opportunity
Meet with key customers and distributors
- Meet with staff of properties in “ideal” customer base on a twice monthly basis.
- Meet with staff of properties in remaining customer base on an every other month basis.
- Meet with distributor partners to review progress on a monthly basis.
- Conduct joint property meetings with distributors on a weekly basis.
Track activities
- Due by: Close of Business Each Monday
Submit call log from previous week.
- Due by: 10th of Each Month for Preceding Month
Submit monthly reports, documenting progress to goal.
Other Responsibilities
Perform other activities as requested by the Executive Management team, or as may become required of the position.
Requirements
Previous Work Experience
- Sales experience
- Proven track record in customer engagement and revenue generation
- 2 – 5 years experience in outside account management; or,
- 2 – 5 years experience working in outside sales
Education
College degree preferred
Computer Proficiency
- Proficiency with internet (ability to navigate websites)
- Good Word skills (internal and external communications)
- Excellent Outlook knowledge (internal and external communications and scheduling)
- Excellent Excel skills (report creation and metrics tracking)
Ideal Candidate will also have experience in:
- Sales or account management with commercial real estate customers
- Demonstrated ability to produce results while working autonomously
- Understanding of property management issues
- Working with a diverse group of customers, from engineers to executives
Ideal Candidate will be able to:
- Communicate SiteStuff value proposition relative to customers’ specific needs
- Think strategically to create a market plan, work with key personnel to implement plan, and track success of plan
